Strawberry pomegranate mojitos are a fun, delicious twist on a homemade mojito made with fresh strawberries and pomegranate juice. You’ll see how easy it is to shake up this refreshing, fruity rum cocktail with just 5 ingredients on a hot summer’s day.
Afterward, serve your strawberry mojitos with crowd-friendly sheet pan Hawaiian chicken or grilled mahi mahi for an easy dinner!

I’ve been enjoying my cocktails alongside high-protein appetizers lately, like this cottage cheese Buffalo chicken dip or a margherita pizza baked on top of a cottage cheese pizza crust! And if you love fresh, fruity drinks, try a Rossini with puréed strawberries and Prosecco, pineapple margarita, or this Jamaican hibiscus punch next.

Strawberry Mojito Ingredients
These are the ingredients needed to make this easy strawberry pomegranate mojito. Refer to the recipe card for the full recipe with exact amounts.
- Strawberries – Wash and hull fresh strawberries using a specialty strawberry huller or a sharp paring knife. If you’re using frozen strawberries, thaw them before you make your cocktails. You can also make a variation of this cocktail using homemade strawberry sauce or strawberry juice instead of fresh strawberries.
- Fresh Mint – Fresh mint leaves are essential for mojitos! Please don’t use dried mint for your cocktail.
- Lime – I highly recommend freshly squeezed lime juice. Bottled just doesn’t have the same flavor.
- Rum – The liquor of choice in a classic mojito. I prefer to use white rum, but dark or spiced rum will also work in this recipe. Darker rum adds a slightly different flavor profile.
- Pomegranate Juice – If you can’t find pomegranate juice where you live, cranberry juice is a good substitute.
- Club Soda – You could also make your drink a bit sweeter with lemon or lime soda, like 7Up.
What to Serve With Your Mojitos
Mojitos instantly make me think of a tropical vacation, so I love to serve our strawberry mojitos with dishes that share similar island-somewhere-warm energy. This pineapple cucumber salad and easy appetizers like grilled shrimp are just some of my favorites.
- Bring it down South: Try Cuban-style mojo chicken or mojo pork, or Mexican picadillo. I also love these Latin American pupusas with slaw on the side.
- Caribbean-inspired: Spice up the meal with Jamaican jerk chicken (or jerk chicken pasta), with a slice of banana pound cake after dinner.
- Dessert: Make refreshing fruit popsicles with the leftover strawberries! Or, if it’s a special occasion, I’ll whip up a batch of these Dubai chocolate strawberries.

Make a Non-Alcoholic Version
For a mojito mocktail, I’d simply leave out the rum or replace it with additional club soda. My sparkling strawberry limeade with mint is a great non-alcoholic alternative to this recipe. You might also love this strawberry acai refresher (a homemade Starbucks copycat!).

How to Make Strawberry Pomegranate Mojitos
- Divide the ingredients. First, divvy up the strawberries and mint leaves between two glasses. Traditionally, these would be highball glasses or Collins glasses, but any tall drinking glass does the trick.
- Muddle. Next, add lime juice. Use a muddler to muddle the strawberries (i.e., mash them) with the mint and lime until they’re mashed and juicy. If you’d like, you can add a bit of sugar before you start to muddle. I don’t only because I think the strawberries are sweet enough, but if you like a sweeter drink, go for it. Pro tip: No muddler? Mash the mint and berries with a fork instead!
- Finish the cocktails. Fill up both glasses with ice. Stir in the rum and pomegranate juice, and then top up the glasses with club soda. Garnish your mojitos with fresh strawberries (or Champagne strawberries) and mint leaves, and enjoy.

Woohooo!! My kind of fresh strawberry cocktail, Kate! Wicked photography, girl! We can still hang, just not as long, LOL! Happy Memorial Day! xoxo
How refreshing! Please pass me a glass 🙂
And I love the oxo strawberry huller! It’s such a handy tool to have around.
My strawberry huller isn’t quite so high tech and I don’t have a muddler (must plan another trip to the food equipment supply store … what a hardship) but this drink sounds like it would be quite refreshing in the hot summer months ahead. And it looks pretty too.
If I make the recipe and drink both glasses myself, does that make me bad? 🙂
I’m on my 3rd! And ready for bed… 😀
Two would definitely be MY limit. Coincidence? I think not. 🙂
Gorgeous, I’m loving these mojitos!
Love love this drink! Gorgeous photos, Kate!
This looks like the most perfect way to celebrate! Love it!
I miss the days when I could inhale a gazillion cocktails and make it through the night. This mojito looks so enticing – maybe I could handle three and still be coherent. 😀
Gorgeous photos!!
The thing with mojitos is that I drown them without realizing how many I´ve had! This is a great combination of flavors Kate.
I so need one of these to relax a little! It’s the day for relaxing. Love the strawberry and mint together.
From 2 drinks on cloud 9, to 3 in bed….to downing tons of them years ago. Wow, I can so relate. Life and kids happen. We just can’t hang anymore…lol
Beautiful drink!
