Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds large raw shrimp, peeled, deveined (tails on or off)
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • cup melted butter, divided
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • cup pork panko crumbs, or regular panko crumbs
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon sweet or smoked paprika, or more, to taste
  • fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
  • lemon wedges, to serve

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425˚F.
  • Arrange shrimp in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt the butter in a bowl, then whisk the lemon juice, minced garlic, and minced parsley with the melted butter; pour half of the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp and stir the shrimp around until well combined. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer inside the baking dish. Set aside.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the remaining melted butter mixture, the pork panko crumbs, parmesan cheese, and paprika; mix well to combine. Sprinkle this crumb mixture evenly over the shrimp.
  • Bake the shrimp in the oven for 12 minutes or until bubbly. Set oven settings to BROIL and cook for another minute or two or until the top is golden and crispy.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Garnish the baked shrimp with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Baking Dish: Use a 9 x 13 dish and arrange the shrimp in one layer.
  • Butter: To get 1/3 cup of melted butter, you’ll need about 5 to 6 tablespoons, give or take, of solid butter.
  • Crumb Topping: Spread the crumb topping uniformly over the shrimp for an even, golden crust.
  • Watch While Broiling: Make sure the topping on the shrimp is crispy and golden but not burnt.
  • Customize: Add chili flakes for spice, or experiment with your favorite seasonings and herbs.
