EASY GARLIC SHRIMP

A creamy and easy garlic shrimp recipe tossed in a rich parmesan sauce, all prepared in just one skillet AND ready in under 15 minutes?! YAHS, please!

Think about this combination; we have garlic, butter, bacon, and shrimp. Plus heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Lemon juice, salt, and pepper, too. It’s all of these bright and luscious flavors mixed with my favorite seafood.

I should note that although we’re talking about butter and heavy cream, this Garlic Shrimp recipe is low in carbs, high in protein, and a perfect option for those following a Keto diet.

Even if you couldn’t care less for Keto or carbs, this shrimp recipe is a winner and a totally acceptable meal that goes with absolutely anything. Serve this as an appetizer or a main dish, and easily double the recipe if need be.

HOW TO COOK GARLIC SHRIMP

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet to a desired doneness/crispiness; remove from pan.
  2. Melt butter in the same pan and add the shrimp and garlic.
  3. Cook for just a few minutes, or until shrimp is pink and opaque. DO NOT overcook shrimp because they will turn out very dry and rubbery.
  4. Remove shrimp from skillet.
  5. Add heavy cream to the skillet and a bit of chicken broth; bring to a simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese and let simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, or until thickened and creamy.
  6. Return shrimp and bacon to skillet; simmer for just a minute, or until everything is warmed through.

  1. Loved it. Being from Louisiana I added Trinity to it. Im not big on pasta so served it over Spaghetti Squash.

  2. I served with asparagus and it was perfect! I did use half-n-half to cut the fat down a bit, but it was still very rich and delicious.

I typically don’t leave feedback on recipes that i find online (although i really should more), but I had to tell you that the shrimp combined with the bacon and parm sauce was out of this world! I don’t think i would have thought to come up with this combo, but it makes so much sense and it’s sooo good! Thank you! 🙂
