HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCE

I have one thing to say, though: STOP buying Barbecue Sauce. Just stop. Too much sugar, too much sodium, too much “X” words in the ingredients that we can’t pronounce… it’s just overboard.

You don’t need all that and it is much better when you can make your own, especially when it is this easy.

Homemade Honey Barbecue Sauce - Quick and easy recipe for homemade barbecue sauce!

I use this Barbecue Sauce on pork, chicken, meatballs, and on anything else that can somehow be turned into a sweet and sour deal.

INGREDIENTS FOR HONEY BARBECUE SAUCE

Also, you should know that this is not about some fancy ingredients. All this involves is some ketchup, a bit of honey, apple cider vinegar, and a perfect dose of worcestershire sauce. All together cooked down to a perfect thickness and slathered over your favorite chops. Or chicken.

ENJOY!

I love this! I’m a big, big fan of barbecue sauce, and years ago I was shocked … and heartbroken … to scan the bottle of my then-favorite sauce and see the very first ingredient was high-fructose corn syrup. What?!?!? 🙁 Such a brilliantly easy idea to just make your own sauce, so you know exactly what’s in it! Thanks for the great recipe!

  9. Kacey @ The Cookie Writer says:

You are so right! There are some recipes that are just better, and tastier, homemade. I need to pick up some local honey and then we are off to make our own BBQ sauce!

  10. allie @ Through Her Looking Glass says:

I can think of a million delicious uses for this sauce! Pork chops….mmmmmm…and nice to see no high fructose corn syrup!!!! Score.
