For the Pinwheels

  • Flour tortillas: Flour tortillas are ideal because they hold their shape better than corn tortillas. Low-carb flour tortillas can be used.
  • American cheese: You can use cheddar, mozzarella, or any cheese you prefer.
  • Turkey ham: Regular ham, deli ham, roast beef, or any deli meat can be used as a substitute or for a different flavor.

For The Ranch Dip

  • Plain yogurt: Provides a creamy and tangy base for the dip. You can substitute it with Greek yogurt.
  • Lite sour cream: Adds richness and a slight tang to the dip. Full-fat sour cream works if that is what you prefer.
  • Seasoning Mix: Garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill weed, dried chives, salt, and black pepper.

Instructions

Make the Ranch Dip

  • Place yogurt and sour cream in a mixing bowl; add garlic powder, onion powder, dill, chives, salt, and pepper; mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Transfer to airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

Make the Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

  • Spread a layer of ranch dip evenly over the tortilla, making sure it covers the entire surface.
  • Place a few slices of deli ham across the center of the tortilla. Add a layer of cheese on top of the ham, ensuring it also spans the width of the tortilla.
  • Roll up the tortilla tightly. Trim off a small portion from each end and discard, then slice the rolled tortilla into 6-8 pieces, about 1 inch thick.

Notes

I didn’t specify exact amounts of ham or cheese because it really depends on your preference. I used a single layer of meat and two cheese slices, but feel free to add more meat if you prefer.

This recipe looks so yummy! I am gonna try this. Is there any alternative to dill weed?

    1. Katerina Petrovska says:

Hi! You can always use tarragon in place of dill weed, but if you’re looking for a different taste, then you can just use whatever herbs you prefer. I hope that helps. 🙂
