Caramel Apple-Chips Nachos – Crispy, homemade Apple Chips topped with caramel, melted chocolate, and peanuts.
Apparently, my ‘puter died before I expected … I mean, you’re never ready for that sort of thing, but you know… I needed a little more time…
And, yes, I treat my tech toys as real beings…
Thank God it’s Friday!
And it’s Halloween! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Who else is looking forward to raiding their kid’s candy bags?! ME ME ME!!
You can’t have this, you can’t eat that, you are too small for this… as I stuff everything into my pockets…
By the way, we woke up to snow. Lots of it. And it’s still snowing… It’s also very, very windy. In fact, this feels more like December 31st.
Looks like that large bowl filled with Midnight Milky Ways will be ALL mine. Those things are SO not going into any kid’s bags. I plan to inhale them all, one by one.
Last night I couldn’t fall asleep because I decided to have “just one”, which turned into “just 10”, right before my bed time.
AND they were bite-size! Lethal little beings!
But before AND after all the festivities tonight, we are going to treat ourselves to a large plate of these Caramel Apple Chips Nachos. It’s Halloween – we gotta go all out. Go big or go home! Candy-overload, please!
I took a plate of these to my aunt’s last week and I have never seen apples disappear as quickly as they did at her house. I guess the teenagers that occupy her home will eat anything that is topped with caramel and chocolate. Smart girls.
I, on the other hand, ate Apple Chips all week long, saving myself and the extra calories for all the caramel-chocolate-candy-eating tonight.
If you’re looking for a festive, delicious, chocolaty treat to serve today, (or any day, really), make them Apple Chips. THEN, drizzle with white chocolate, dark chocolate and caramel. Don’t forget the peanuts! It wouldn’t be a Caramel Apple without the crunch, you know? Good.
Happy Halloween! Be safe!
