Are you looking for a refreshing and tasty drink to enjoy on a sunny day or to wow your guests at your next party? If so, you will love this white sangria recipe that’s easy to make and bursting with fruity and citrusy flavors. It’s light, bubbly, and super easy to customize with your favorite fruits and wines.
Why You’ll Love This White Sangria Recipe
- Fruity. The fresh orange and lemon juices add great flavor and sweetness to the dry white wine and triple sec. I heartily recommend using a glass pitcher to serve these summer cocktails because the orange and lemon slices look really beautiful!
- Light and Bubbly. The soda water gives this white sangria a nice fizz and makes it less overpowering than other sangrias. You can enjoy it without feeling too tipsy or heavy.
- Customizable. Feel free to use any white wine you like. If you like to drink it, you’ll love it in white sangria! Chardonnay, pinot grigio, or sauvignon blanc are all great options. Feel free to add other fruits too, such as apples, peaches, or berries, to suit your taste and the season.
- Perfect for Any Occasion. Whether you’re hosting a brunch, a barbecue, a picnic, or a dinner party, this’ll be a hit with your guests. You can make white wine sangria ahead of time and serve it chilled or over ice.
What You’ll Need
- Fruit: Oranges and lemons
- Alcohol: Dry white wine and triple sec
- Sugar
- Soda Water
How to Make Sangria
- Combine. In a large pitcher, combine orange juice, lemon juice, triple sec and sugar and mix until it’s well combined.
- Fizz. Add the bottle of wine and soda water and stir well. Enjoy that fizz!
- Garnish. Slice up some orange and lemon slices and garnish your pitcher, glasses, or both. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Use Fresh Fruit. The fruit is the star of this drink, so use ripe and juicy fruits that are in season. You can also freeze some fruit slices to use as ice cubes and keep your sangria cold without diluting it.
- Adjust the Sweetness. Depending on your preference and the sweetness of your wine and fruit, you may want to add more or less sugar to your sangria. Taste it before serving and adjust as you like. You can also use honey or agave nectar instead of sugar for a natural sweetener.
- Let It Rest. The longer white sangria sits in the fridge, the more the flavors will infuse and blend. Ideally, you want to make it at least 4 hours before serving, or even overnight. Just remember to add the bubbly right before serving to keep it fizzy.
What to Serve With White Sangria
White sangria is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are hosting a brunch, a barbecue, a picnic, or a dinner party, this summer cocktail will be a hit with your guests. If you’d like to pair it with some other cocktails for variety, I recommend other fruity drinks like our grapefruit rum cocktail, a mimosa pitcher, or a chambord bellini. For some food, you can always opt for some light fair like a charcuterie board, some crab artichoke dip, or a baked shrimp dip. If you’re serving white sangria with your main course, I’m a big fan of spicy seafood or chicken dishes to pair. Try our Spanish seafood paella, roasted mussels, or Peruvian chicken. With these ideas, you can serve your white sangria with confidence and style. Cheers!
Storing Leftovers
- Refrigerate. To refrigerate your leftover white wine sangria, make sure to cover it tightly with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the coldest part of your fridge. Avoid storing it in the door, where the temperature fluctuates. It’ll stay fresh for 5-7 days. Give it a good stir before serving.
- Freeze. To freeze your leftover white sangria, I recommend freezing it in ice cube trays. After they’re frozen, pop out the frozen sangria cubes and store them in a ziplock bag for up to 3 months. To serve, thaw in the fridge overnight or in a bowl of cold water. You can also blend it with some ice for a slushy drink.

Kate,
This completely beats the box wine + Fresca Sangria that I used to drink.
(Though I’ve still got the box wine, I’ve just lost the 2L bottle)
Thanks!
