I am a snacker. I may have mentioned this tidbit about me here and there, but for reals, I can snack all day and go through the day without an actual meal. Pass me the Wonderful Almonds and leave me alone with ’em… Then, see what happens in 5 minutes.

Thus, when our days are filled with outside play, tanning, or just jumping in the pool, my snack obsession is ON! And it’s totally A-OK because who brings a meal to the pool?! Right. Not me.

But, you know what’s totally cool? I don’t do junk snacks. No siree! I am a fruits and nuts girl. That’s why when we go to the beach, or to the pool, I just lug a beach bag filled with some of my favorites, such as everything Wonderful Brands has to offer – Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Almond Accents, and of course that incredible POM Wonderful Juice!

Spinach salad with blackberries, shredded parmesan, Wonderful Almond Accents, and a Lemon Poppyseed Dressing.
Servings: 2
Calories: 290 kcal
Ingredients
For the Salad
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Roasted Pomegranate Wonderful Almond Accents
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan
For the Lemon Poppyseed Dressing
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • salt and fresh ground pepper , to taste
Instructions
  1. Combine all salad ingredients in a bowl and mix lightly.
  2. Arrange salad on two plates.
  3. Combine all dressing ingredients in a small mixing bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat.
  5. Serve.

  1. MMM!!! Love that salad!!! When I was younger I didn’t really like salads, but now I find myself turning to them in place of meat dishes. But, I LOVE adding nuts and “goodies” to them.
    Favorite snack?? I’d love to say raw veggies, but really my favorite would be chips and guacamole!

    My favorite snack ranges from cottage cheese and yogurt or nuts and dried natural mango or fresh fruit. A snack especially in the summer months would be frozen fruit pop or ice cream.
