HI HI, lovelies! Happy morning! Happy weekend! Today you are going to see twice of me and for a good reason. THIS Fall thirst-quencher recipe is very special, and I made it for a special someone because that special someone is about to have a Baby Boy!  <— I couldn’t find a blue emoji!

baby shower

Ladies and Gents, without further ado…

IT’S A VIRTUAL BABY SHOWER FOR MEG from WITH SALT AND WIT!!!

Meg, I made you a drink! Alcohol-free, of course. Don’t worry, it won’t be too long before you start adding bourbon to this Cider Punch! 😉

Also? Congratulations on your new expected bundle of joy! Wishing you all the best with mommyhood AND baby!!! xoxo

Guess who was surprised by this sweet virgin beverage? And guess who can’t wait to add a splash of vodka/bourbon/rum/whatever into this beverage once Meg has her baby? And guess who wants you to make this refreshing drink for your Fall/Winter/Football/Whatever parties so that you TOO can love it as much as I DO? That’s right. ME! I was surprised by it and you will be, too!

The bottom line is, we’re virgin-drinking on a Saturday, so praise the baby’s Mama! (<— hehehehe. I made myself laugh!)

You already know how to do this, I know. I mean, it’s Punch made with apple cider and cranberry juice. Buuuuut, I just thought it would be a fun little adventure for us to make it together on this pleasant Saturday day. Besides, there’s a secret ingredient in here – sparkling WINE! Non-alcoholic and stuff, but still good! Reminds me of my New Year’s Eve parties, back in my pre-drinking age, which was 16. KIDDING!

Here ya go!

Apple cider is something that I look forward too all ready long. I could drink it by the gallon full! So this punch is for me. And I’ll certainly be adding bourbon to mine. :-). So glad we can come together to celebrate Megan and her family!

Beautiful colour! I’m obsessed with all things apple this time of year. I would definitely add champagne to a drink like this, or maybe even some red wine!
