Frozen Chocolate Brandy Alexander – Our favorite Holiday cocktail made with Dark Chocolate Brandy, coffee, and ice cream.
There’s nothing better than a cool, frozen drink in the middle of a cold winter… ??? It’s true! So long as there’s brandy in it, we’re good to go!
Hey you guuuyyys! I believe this is the first Sunday in about 4 years where I decided not to share a main dish. Don’t worry, I’ll be back with that tomorrow.
No, scratch that. Tomorrow we’re going to talk cupcakes! Yep… me and cupcakes… it’s like, Taylor Swift and relationships. But, it was for a friend and they turned out pretty damn good. And there’s cranberries on ’em, and white chocolate, and all that good frosting stuff. NONE of which is going to help out our waistline, but who cares. The HOLIDAYS are almost upon us! YAY!
Ah, just do what I do – skip a meal, eat a cupcake.
Let’s now talk about this dessert in a cup. THIS, my friends, is a Brandy Alexander with a lovely twist featuring coffee and ice cream + Kohler’s Dark Chocolate Brandy.
I went to Kohler, Wisconsin, just a few weeks ago to attend the Kohler Food and Wine Experience. If you would like to learn more about this amazing event, please hop on over to Kohler Food and Wine Experience website and read all about it.
While at Kohler, I also had the opportunity to get my hands on a bottle of their Chocolate Brandy and come back home to play around with a couple of recipes. One was a recipe for gravy, and the other was this Frozen Chocolate Brandy Alexander.
WHAT IS FROZEN CHOCOLATE BRANDY ALEXANDER
Tell you what. If you love Chocolate Cherry Cordials, THIS is THOSE, but in a fancy glass topped with whipped cream, ground nutmeg, and chocolate shavings. No, there’s no cherries in it, but believe me, that’s exactly what it tastes like.
All we have here is a creamy and luxurious cocktail that is usually enjoyed after dinner, and also perfect for big Holiday parties. I used two types of ice creams – coffee and chocolate – a splash of brewed coffee, a delicious helping of brandy, a splash of milk, and combined them all for a whirl in the blender. ☕
I suggest to keep your cocktail glasses in the freezer while putting all this together so that you have enough time to prepare, pour, and serve.
ENJOY!
