This easy goat cheese pizza is a pizza night favorite, with smoky bacon, crumbled goat cheese, and juicy tomatoes baked on top of a crispy homemade pizza crust.
Prep. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Line a pizza pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
Dissolve the yeast. Add warm water to a large bowl. Whisk in the yeast until completely dissolved.
Make the dough. Using a wooden spoon, stir in olive oil, flour, and garlic powder. Continue to stir until the dough comes together to form a ball. You may need to use your hands. Cover with a kitchen towel and set in a warm place for 15 minutes.
Knead and shape the crust. Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 3 minutes. Spread pizza dough out onto your prepared pizza pan, using the palms of your hands and fingers to stretch it out to about a 1-inch thickness.
Par-bake the crust. Bake the pizza crust for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
To Assemble
Add sauce and cheese. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Add toppings. Next, layer grape tomatoes and bacon over the cheese. Crumble the goat cheese over the top.
Bake again. Bake the pizza for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is browned and the cheese is melted. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.
