Melt the butter in a saucepan or skillet set over medium heat.
Stir in the garlic and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until fragrant, stirring very frequently. Do not burn the garlic.
Stir in the parsley and remove from heat.
Serve immediately, or store the sauce in a jar, covered, or an airtight container, and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Serve warm.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, mix in a bit of flour or cornstarch while the butter melts. Start with half a teaspoon and adjust as needed, letting it cook briefly to thicken.
Opt for salted butter. If using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
Add onion powder, chives, fried shallots, lemon pepper, smoked paprika, or a dash of black pepper. Mix in your favorite spices to make it uniquely yours.
Transfer leftover sauce into a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months. To reheat, warm it in a saucepan on low heat or microwave in 8-second intervals, stirring in between.
