Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Prepare the Glaze


Brush butter inside cake pan, add melted butter, brown sugar and pineapple juice, and place pineapple rings on top with a cherry in the middle of each ring.

Make the Batter


Beat egg whites and yolks separately. Then add pineapple juice, vanilla, and melted butter to yolks, add to dry ingredients, then fold egg whites into batter.

Assemble and Bake


Pour the cake batter over the topping in the cake pan, and bake for 30 minutes. Then let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Flip the Cake


Flip the cake by covering the pan tightly with a serving dish and invert so that the pineapple side faces up.
