  • pounds ground turkey
  • ¼ cup pork rinds panko crumbs, or use regular panko crumbs
  • ¼ cup yellow onion, grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, sweet or smoked
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • ¾ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 leaves butterhead lettuce
  • prepared coleslaw
  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced
  • small red onion rings
  • burger buns, split and lightly toasted, for serving, optional
  • lettuce leaves, for serving, optional


  • In a large mixing bowl combine ground turkey, crumbs, onions, garlic, worcestershire sauce, paprika, pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper; mix and stir until thoroughly combined. I recommend using your hands for mixing it all together.
  • Divide mixture into 4 patties.
  • Set a large 12-inch skillet over medium heat and add the oil to heat up.
    To the hot oil add the patties and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes, or until browned on the bottom.
  • Flip over and continue to cook for 5 to 7 more minutes, or until internal temperature of the patties registers at 165˚F.
    Remove turkey patties from heat.
  • Place turkey burgers in hamburger buns or lettuce leaves.
  • Top turkey burgers with cheddar, lettuce, coleslaw, avocado, and red onions.
  • Serve.
