Sweet and tangy, sticky and savory, this easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork is a perfect family meal! Best of all, it only takes a few minutes of prep and your crock pot does the rest.

what is the best cut of meat to use?

Boneless pork shoulder is the classic, and you can also find it sold as a pork butt, pork shoulder picnic, or Boston butt. This cut is the cheapest and most flavorful option out there! 

Just a Few Simple Ingredients!

- Pork Shoulder - Onion - Seasonings - Dr. Pepper - Ketchup - Apple Cider Vinegar - Light Brown Sugar - Tomato Paste - Worcestershire Sauce

Season the Pork

Mix the pork seasonings in a small bowl.  Pat the pork shoulder dry and rub with the seasonings.

Add to Slow Cooker

Arrange the onions in the slow cooker, place the pork shoulder on top, and pour Dr. Pepper all around it.

Cook

Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook for 8-10 hours on low.

Make the Sauce

When the meat is almost done, simmer the barbeque sauce ingredients in a saucepan for 20-30 minutes.

Finish the Dish

Shred the pork with two forks. Combine the meat and barbeque sauce in the slow cooker.
