Mix the pork seasonings in a small bowl. Pat the pork shoulder dry and rub with the seasonings.
Arrange the onions in the slow cooker, place the pork shoulder on top, and pour Dr. Pepper all around it.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook for 8-10 hours on low.
When the meat is almost done, simmer the barbeque sauce ingredients in a saucepan for 20-30 minutes.
Shred the pork with two forks. Combine the meat and barbeque sauce in the slow cooker.
Pulled Pork is really versatile. You can serve it as a main course, on a sandwich, or even on nachos!
