Tender and succulent Oven-Roasted Tri-Tip is an easy beef dinner that's ready in an hour or less. This juicy roast recipe is fancy without even trying!

what is tri tip?

This triangle-shaped cut of beef is found at the very tip of a sirloin.  It's typically super flavorful while being less fatty than other cuts. Tri-tip also roasts to tender, delicious excellence in the oven in just 30 minutes!

What You'll Need

- Beef Tri-Tip - Seasoning - Oil - Parsley

Prep the Meat


Pat the beef dry with a paper towel, then whisk the seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl.

Season the Meat


Rub the seasoning all over the meat. Let it rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour, or for up to 1 day in the fridge.



Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet, and sear the tri tip for about 3 minutes per side, until browned.



Transfer the skillet to the oven, and roast for 25-35 minutes at 400 degrees.



Let the Tri Tip rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking. Slice it thin, garnish, and serve!
