  • 1.5 to 2 pounds fresh jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail left ON
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs


  1. Using paper towels, pat dry shrimp, thoroughly; set aside.
  2. Set a large skillet over medium high heat and melt 3 tablespoons butter.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp; season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side.
  6. Add remaining butter, lemon juice, and fresh herbs; stir and cook for 1 more minute, or until butter is melted and shrimp is completely pink and opaque.
  7. Remove from heat; taste for seasonings and adjust accordingly.
  8. Serve.
