Ingredients
1/2tablespoonolive oil
1yellow onion, diced
1green bell pepper, diced
4garlic cloves, minced
1roll(1 pound) Jimmy Dean Country Mild Pork Sausage
2cans(4-ounces each) sliced mushrooms
1can(6 ounces) tomato paste
1/2teaspoondried Italian Seasoning
1/4teaspoondried thyme
1/4teaspoondried rosemary
1/4teaspoonfresh ground black pepper
salt to taste
2cupslow sodium fat free chicken broth
2cupswater
8ouncesdry spaghetti, break in half
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large dutch oven over medium-high heat.
Add onions and peppers; cook for 4 minutes.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Add sausage; cook 4 to 5 minutes or until crumbled and browned, stirring occasionally. Drain any excess fat.
Return to heat; add mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in tomato paste and seasonings.
Add chicken broth and water and bring to a boil.
Add spaghetti to the pot and return to boiling; reduce heat to medium low and
boil gently, uncovered, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until spaghetti is thoroughly
