Ingredients

  • 1 box spaghetti , cooked according to the directions on the box
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes , halved
  • 1 cup black olives , pitted, halved
  • 3 garlic cloves , minced
  • salt and fresh ground pepper , to taste
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil

Instructions 

  • While you are cooking the spaghetti, prepare the sauce:
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet.
  • Add tomatoes, olives, and garlic.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in basil.
  • Cook for 6 to 8 minutes over medium heat, or until tomatoes are tender.
  • Drain pasta.
  • When the tomato mixture is done, add the pasta to the tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until heated through.
  • Serve immediately.
