Black Cherry Spritzer

Ingredients
  

FOR THE CHERRY SYRUP
  • 2 pounds dark-sweet cherries , pitted and halved
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
FOR THE DRINKS
  • crushed ice
  • 1.5 ounces cherry syrup
  • 6 ounces Black Cherry White Claw Hard Seltzer
  • cherries
  • lime wedges
  • mint

Instructions
 

MAKE THE CHERRY SYRUP
  • Combine cherries, sugar, and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Continue to cook over medium-high heat for 20 minutes.
  • Reduce to a simmer and cover, cooking on low heat for 10 minutes, or until soft.
  • Remove from heat and strain over a bowl using a fine mesh strainer to mash the cherry juice from the cherries.
  • Let syrup cool at room temperature.
  • Seal into an airtight jar and store for up to 2 weeks.
TO MAKE THE DRINKS
  • Add crushed ice to a large glass, about half way up.
  • Pour cherry syrup over ice.
  • Add cherries and lime wedges.
  • Slowly pour in the White Claw Hard Seltzer.
  • Garnish with mint.
  • Serve.
