Quick and light creamy sauce made with basil, avocado and yogurt, served over your favorite pasta.

Ingredients
8to 12 ounces Fettuccine Pasta
1avocado, peeled and pitted
6fresh basil leaves
3green onions, thinly sliced, white parts only
1/3-cupcilantro or flat leaf parsley
1tablespoonfresh lime juice
1/2-cupnonfat plain yogurt
1tablespoonwater
salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
Parmesan shavings(optional)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to the directions on the box.
In the meantime, prepare the sauce.
In the bowl of your food processor combine avocado, basil, onions, cilantro or parsley, lime juice, yogurt, water, salt and pepper; process until creamy and smooth. Set aside.
Drain cooked pasta; return to pot.
Stir in the basil-avocado sauce and mix until thoroughly combined.
Garnish with parmesan shavings.
Serve immediately.
Notes
If the sauce is too thick for your liking, add 1 more tablespoon of water.
