Orange, Date and Nut Bread is an easy quick bread recipe that takes just a few minutes to mix together. This sweet bread is delicious for breakfast, a quick snack or even dessert!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs , lightly beaten
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped dates
  • ½ cup chopped , toasted walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside.
  • In a separate mixing bowl whisk together the eggs, orange juice, oil, and vanilla.
  • With a large serving spoon, slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Add in the dates and walnuts and continue to mix until well incorporated.
  • Lightly grease a loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Pour the mixture into the loaf pan and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let stand for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
