Place eggs on the bottom of a large saucepan, or pot, in one single layer.
Add water so that the eggs are covered by about an inch of water.
Add lemon slices.
Set pot over high heat and bring to a boil.
Turn off the heat.
Cover the pot, remove from burner, and let stand for 6 to 12 minutes. Time will depend on how well you like them cooked.
In the meantime, fill a large bowl with ice.
When time is up, remove eggs from the pot and transfer to the bowl with ice. Let stand 10 minutes, or until cooled.
Peel and serve.
