What You'll Need

Water Orange peel Dried hibiscus Star anise Whole cloves Ground allspice Ground cinnamon Ground ginger Dark brown sugar Ice Orange wedges

Add the Peel

In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil and add the orange peel. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.

Add the Hibiscus

Stir in the hibiscus, star anise, whole cloves, and allspice. Simmer for 5 minutes. Then add cinnamon and ginger.

Add the Sugar

Stir in the brown sugar until fully dissolved. Let the mixture simmer for another 3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Strain It

Strain the punch to remove the spices, hibiscus, and orange peel.

Chill It

Pour it into a large pitcher and let it rest for 30 minutes, or until room temperature.

Serve
