Pizza Nutella: Soft pizza crust topped with Nutella, white chocolate chips and hazelnuts!
How do you get a 33 year-old to be just as excited as a 2 year-old?
You keep Nutella in the pantry and pizza dough in the fridge. Try it, it works.
And ice cream. And Oreos. And chocolate.
We eat fruits, too. Lots of ‘em. I promise! And veggies! But we could live without those – we, however, cannot live without the sweeter things in life. That was a confession.
Here’s another confession; I am scared of flying. Like terrified. Like butterflies in my stomach and all. And I have to fly from Chicago to Macedonia next week.
That’s like a really long flight. 8 hours to Vienna, Austria, and then another 2 hours to Macedonia. I do this trip every year, but I never get over the fear.
Now it’s your turn to tell me that there’s nothing to be afraid of, and that I have a higher chance in being hit by a lightning (one hit the tree in my front yard two weeks ago), and that some Xanax should help me get through it. 😉
In the meantime, I am going to enjoy my Pizza Nutella. I hope you will, too!
Pizza Nutella
Ingredients
- Your favorite store-bought pizza crust mix or your choice of ready-to-bake pizza dough
- 1/2 cup Nutella , or as much as you want
- 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
- Prepare the dough.
- Using your hands and fingers flatten the dough onto the bottom of the baking sheet. Spread it as thin as possible.
- Bake the dough for 10 minutes.
- Spread the nutella all over the pizza, then top with chopped hazelnuts and white chocolate chips. If you want melted chocolate, chop the chocolate chips before you sprinkle them over the pizza.
- Put the pizza back into the oven for another 5 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes before cutting.

So, instead of using pizza dough, I actually used croissant dough and used almonds and macadamia nuts. I’m just not a huge pizza dough fan when it comes to using for something other than traditional pizza. Makes me weird, I know. But, I just laid them out in squares, instead of the triangles let them cook for a tiny bit, then spread the nutella in them and added the nuts and rolled them up and finished cooking them and they came out super moist and the nutella made it taste like one of those chocolate croissants. Flaky, and melty and gooey and just awesome sauce. Also. I have a tremendous fear of flying. To the point where I have been seen hugging the the benches in the airport after getting off the plane because I was so excited to be OFF the plane lol. I would say, if it’s a must do trip, xanax, aisle seat, and some music or watch the video that they play. Distract yourself. And pretend like you’re in a giant van or station wagon.
Ooooh I like your version – sounds DELISH!
Flying is just blah… I do need to try xanax when flying… to take off the edge, ya know? 🙂
Just made this pizza and it looks deliiicious!! I used almonds instead and added coconut and strawberries to portions of it. Can’t wait to dig in!
almonds and coconut and stawberries and nutella?!?! YUMMMERS!!
simple and delicious! this would go great with ice cream
Wednesday nights church night at our house…so usually try to fix something quick…had taco soup for supper…so thought this would be a great dessert to finish it off….I bought the already made pizza crust from the store….some nutella and topped it off with heath bar chips instead of white chocolate….it was de-lish!!!!!
That is great! I am so glad you loved it!!
OH. MY. WORD. This looks delish!! I LOVE Nutella and will run out and get some pizza dough this afternoon. thanks for sharing!!! my kids will thank you too!! 🙂
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww! I love this!!!
That’s the best pizza ever! 😉
Pizza and Nutella? Together? Genius! I can’t even imagine how delicious this must taste. Well done.

This is totally going into my bookmarks!
When I’m afraid of something, one really good technique is visuallization. Instead of thinking of the flight while you are on the flight, concentrate on all the fun you are going to have when you get there. Think of the exciting adventures you are going to be have.
Flying is safer than driving you know!
*kisses* HH
This looks great! Love how your photography has really grown! Way to go! Food porn addict’s delight 🙂
have all the Xanax you want and stash some of this pizza in your travel bag and you’ll be fine. Simple is the best way to go, love your quick sweet pizza. And I am jealous I want to go on this trip.
I am loving this. What a fun idea for a delightful treat.
Yum! That is one decadent dessert pizza! My daughter was studying the recipe for a while, she’s a big fan of nutella.
Ah, a woman after my own heart! I can’t do without the sweet things in life either. I’m not a fan of flying and yet I make the same long trip to France every year, I just keep telling myself it’s a small part of the vacation and I can just grin and bear it.
The pizza place down the street from mt apartment serves nutella pizza, they’ve got HUGE jugs of nutella all around the pizzeria 🙂 And don’t worry, flying is no fun, but it’s the fastest way to get where you’re going!
Awww! You’ll be totally ok! I have never minded flying for some reason, I just get easily bored. I would hate to have to sit still for that long… >.>
This nutella pizza does sound super exciting and like a great late night treat. Something that I’d sneak a bite of when no one was looking.
My kids love nutella too! This looks wonderful. I may not be able to keep them from eating half the pizza in one go. : )
Have a good trip, in spite of the flying anxiety… Macedonia sounds worth it! And this pizza looks just beautiful.
I know that it is absolutely useless to tell you (but I am going to anyway) that the single most dangerous thing you do everyday is to get in your car and drive. Enjoy your trip. Ohhh and that Nutella pizza looks very very delicious. I always have Nutella on hand, it’s a MUST 🙂
OMG, this pizza looks amazing, Kate! You can get me to fly ANYWHERE if the airlines served this delicious snack on board…LOL.
LOL You’ll be fine. I think everyone gets butterflies but some are more afraid than others – it’s that feeling of not being in control. But flying is very safe compared to driving a car.
Yep, if I was that afraid, I’d be naughty too and have Nutella Pizza. Whoever heard of such a thing? I’m beginning to see people are obsessed with Nutella. I won’t even buy it because besides a migraine that I might get, I could not trust myself with a jar of it in the house. Peanut butter – that’s different, I like it but not like I “like” Nutella. lol
Anyway, before this comment turns into a book, said a prayer for your safe journey. You will be fine, Kate.
Mmm. Chocolate. Pizza. Doesn’t get better than that.
My daughters will definitely love this pizza!
I used to be afraid of flying too! But after several 17 hr flights fr Philippines to Texas and vice versa, that fear went away…and I’m so glad!
Have a wonderful trip, Kate!
My jaw hit the floor when I saw this. Pure decadence.
…and flying? It used to be a disastrous experience to fly with me. I’m proud to say I’ve come a long way!
There is nothing like a dessert pizza! Looks delicious!
And yes, I know how you feel.. no matter how much I fly I still get so nervous. On the longer flights I either buy booze beforehand or take some nyquil… Okay so maybe that’s not the healthiest thing to do, but it helps! 🙂
I’m afraid of sharks. And of eating this whole pizza in one go!
You are Nutella’s secret marketing agent 🙂 I’m sure I would never have tried it if it hadn’t been for your naughty concoctions !
You come up with the most creative and amazing recipes! The nutella pizza looks divine!
Oooooh… I’ve been away from the blogosphere for so long, and it so fabulous to come back to recipes like this! I once made a dessert pizza using nutella too… So I know exactly how good this must taste… I should try your recipe soon! Awesome post, Kate! 🙂
yummy looking dessert pizza
I hate flying too! I do it…every year, but it never gets any easier. I think this pizza is a wonderful way to divert your attention. 🙂 Have a great trip!
Pizza + Xanax = happy flight!
This is awesome Kate! And you WILL be fine on your flight. I suggest having this for breakfast that morning! All kidding aside….I wish you safe travels and a wonderful trip! : )
You are so awesome. I need go grab a napkin to wipe the drool off of my keyboard. I love this!
I’ve seen dessert pizzas before but not like this… all I can say is WOW. Sharing this on my FB page right now! #nutellalove
Oh Em Geeeee! This has my name written all over it. It looks fabulous and decadent. Thanks for sharing!
What a fabulous dessert pizza Kate! I love this, and I’m sure it tastes as excellent as it looks! I hope you have a safe and fun trip!
I have nutella in my cupboard and left over pizza dough in the fridge and I am never one to ignore fate…
Nutella + pizza= what’s not to like?! Very creative!
guess what i have pizza too in my recent post and that also has a unique kinda toppings like yours 🙂 I am totally drooling at yours for sure ..
I am not the calmest person on the plane either but find that the Dramamine I need to calm my stomach calms my nerves too. Wearing headphones and playing loud music works too. Have a safe trip! Hope the chocolate pizza helped! 🙂
They’re all just big kids aren’t they?! haha! Except mine gets excited about meat.
I know what you mean about flying. I’ve always been afraid of flying and I fly around all the time (living in Hawaii makes it a necessity). 8 hours! That’s rough. Have a safe trip! Take your laptop to distract you haha!
Wow! I love Nutella and I even eat it with spoon with nothing else some times. But making a pizza with it! Never came to my mind. What a great treat. That becomes one of my weekends treats from now on. Thanks for sharing such a great idea.
OMG, this pizza is amazing… it should pretty much cure any fears if you just keep eating it:-)
Bring this pizza on the plane with you! 😀
Yummy pizza! I want to eat this right now! I hope you have a wonderful trip! My husband hates flying too – it was a long 14 hour flight to New Zealand this spring! It will be fine, but you already know that 🙂
ahhh this looks divine! nutella always makes me happy! didn’t know you could buy premade pizza mixes. i’ve only seen the dough before! have a wonderful trip to macedonia, kate!
You are never too old to have some Nutella 😉 Great looking pizza, kate, this is smth. I have to try 🙂 Wish you a wonderful time in Macedonia, and maybe you will come back with some funny pictures of “babas” 😉
I love sweet pizzas! My favorite is apple and goat cheese but nutella is definitely a winner too ;).
I shouldn’t come here. I get obsessive and right now I am obsessing on having this pizza for breakfast.
Oh dear..that pizza look AMAZING! I would love a slice for breakfast LOL! never too early or late for this:))
Girl now you are speaking my language! I swear I could eat this on EVERYTHING! Bacon, with a spoon, on brownies, ice cream, cookies you name it. Buzzz.
Umm, yes please!
You had me at Nutella. YUM. My friend just went ti Iceland and they have NUTELLA FILLED COOKIES there. Thats just wrong 🙂
You know, Food Network Magazine has a spread on the top pizza in each state. I think they should have visited you because this would be near the top. It looks absolutely delicious.
If Dudette could come over to the States from Armenia without so much as a whimper (except when she needed her diaper changed) at 6 months of age, I think you’ll be fine. 😉 I suggest Ambien over Xanax though. You’ll sleep the whole trip away so it’ll fly by and you won’t have to worry about jet lag because you’ll be so well rested.
A little jumping for joy is in order for this pizza…oh yes. 😉 Love it!
The flight is going to go beautifully….over before you know it.
Have fun on your trip.. and just pop some sleeping pills to get through the flight 🙂 This dessert pizza sounds fabulous. I love nutella.
Oh heck yes!! Where is my slice!? You just cannot go wrong with Nutella
My kids love dessert pizza! What a delicious, beautiful idea!
Yes please! You are speaking my love language.
Wow now this is a great idea why didnt I think of that! Cant wait to try it tonight!
GENIUS! I don’t know how you came up with it and I don’t care, I just want to pig out on this pizza! Buzzed 🙂
I’ve never had nutella pizza, but I love nutella and I love pizza so I know I would love this!! And I never knew Betty Crocker made a pizza dough mix! What a great shortcut!
I was recently at a restaurant where they had nutella pizza on the dessert menu. This blog post makes me wish I had ordered it!
I could eat this pizza every day!! Yumm!
This would be something special to bring to a pizza party! Great idea. Buzz Buzz!
Flying is no fun and the jet lag afterward isn’t either, but at least the final destination will be worth it!
I am sure this is so delicious I some thing very similar but a slice bananas mmmh
Pizza without leavening?! Very strange!
But pizza and nutella is a perfect match (as piadina and nutella, bread and nutella, even a broken shoe and nutella :D)!
I suffer from vertigo, so I’m not so happy to fly, but I have to, if I really want to see the world… I don’t say to you “No fear”, but “cheer up! 🙂
This looks delicious & SO easy! Great for a lazy “I want sweet stuff but I don’t know what to make” kinda evening, or afternoon… or breakfast, maybe add bananas for breakfast, that makes it ok, right?
Maybe you should take some of your amazing looking pizza nutella with you for the flight. If I had that with me on a flight I wouldn’t even know I was on a plane, I’d be too interested in the pizza!
My 63 year old husband would be jumping up and down like a little boy! Buzzed!
OOOOOH I am now a fan of pizza nutella. I have half a ball of pizza dough in my freezer that I should make this with! Thanks for the great idea kate!
Goodness Kate, I am booking a ticket to visit immediately. Lol! This looks so good.
Can’t go wrong with pizza. Your pizza looks wonderful. Yum!
Now, this is my kind of pizza! 🙂 I can imagine eating the whole thing all on my own….that would be my fear! I really should lose some weight instead. LOL
Anyway, I think my real fear is losing someone I love. Life is too fragile.
This pizza looks delicious! I’m not sure I could live without sweet treats like this one either 🙂 My husband is a pilot and is always giving me those statistics. With time, I’ve gotten over worrying about flying. I am sure you will have a great trip…enjoy!
