Organic Grilled Chicken Spinach Salad – A single-serve salad that is organic, non-GMO and gluten free!
That? Up there? ✊
I don’t even have to speak – emojis are now the storytellers. 😉
Hi Hi, friends! This post is sponsored by our friends at ElevĀte! I absolutely love their organic, non-GMO, antioxidant-infused, yummy, fun salads and I jut had to share them with you.
If I had a penny for every time someone asked me, “with all the cooking that you do, how do you not gain weight?!“, I would be a thousandaire.
However, my answer is always the same: A) I eat only a serving size portion of everything I make – I’ll weigh it if I have to. And B) I eat lots and lots and LOTS of salads. LOTS.
In fact, my 3 year old daughter told her teacher that Mommy’s favorite food is salads. Mah girl knows her Mama so well!
Anywho. To run this blog-business though, cooking is not the only thing I have to do. I wish it was… but many hours and days are spent in front of this good ol’ computer, working on photos, promoting on social media, answering emails, responding to readers’ comments, CLEANING the KITCHEN (UGH!), and so on and so forth. I won’t bore you, but there’s a whole lot that goes on in the background.
For that reason, on those days I hardly have a minute to come up for air let alone cook. And while it would be so super convenient to just reach for my husband’s so-NOT-good-for-you snacks in the pantry, it is JUST as convenient to reach for this beautifully packaged spinach salad that comes with nuts, dried fruits, cheeses, chicken, and one incredible honey mustard salad dressing.
ElevĀte salads are made from natural ingredients that are full of flavor, and their superfood line-up has recipes featuring ingredients like quinoa, greens, nuts, legumes, and seeds that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. The salads are Non-GMO Project Verified, Organic and/or Gluten Free, and their chicken is free of antibiotics.
We have been buying these salads for the past several weeks from Walmart – they are located in the produce section by the lettuce – but my issue is that I love them so much that I want to break my “serving size” rule and have 2 more bowls. With a side of Strawberry Yogurt. AND a sprinkle of flax seeds. Always.
Health-speak: Yogurt’s got power-boosting protein and bone-building calcium, and flax seeds are all about that fiber and omega 3’s. All of that paired with ElevĀte’s Organic Spinach Pow which contains 11 grams of protein, antioxidants and vitamins A and E? We are winning!!
By the wayz, have you tried to incorporate super foods into your diet? Do you have any favorites?! DO TELL!
Simply, my advice to you is you don’t have to compromise your healthy eating habits when you are pressed for time. Save that for the weekends.
But, no, really. These salads make it easy to eat clean and feel good about your choices. I stock up and buy enough salads for an entire week. At under 300 calories per salad, you have plenty of room to add some fruity yogurt to your lunch, or even a fun-size dark chocolate Milky Way bar! Hey, I may like to eat healthy, but I’m still human.
Head to Walmart and pick up a few – they are on roll back until 5/17/2016.
