Oreo Bars On A Stick – Melted marshmallows mixed in with ground Oreos, molded into bars and threaded on sticks.
I think I ate a lot of sweet treats when I was little. Not quite sure, but my taste buds are totally into sweets, so I think it’s safe to assume that I chose dessert over veggies.
As if I had to tell you that I love sweets. Anyone that has followed this blog for more than 2 days will figure out that I like my cake. And I eat it, too.
By the way, and totally rhetorical, what genius came up with the saying, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too”? You wanna bet?!? What other purpose does a cake serve?
Anywho, I think my sweet tooth rubbed off on my 2 year old. Kinda sucks ‘cause I have to bribe her; “If you eat this green little tree, Mama will give you this ooey-gooey delicious mess…ok? OK!”
So I made her another treat with Oreos…that’s her favorite cookie.
I know, OMG she is giving her 2 year old that? It’s okay. It was her Birthday, and she only ate one. She never has more than one. I won’t allow it.
Okay…she probably had two, but I didn’t see her having the second one, so technically, she only had one.
Humongous thanks to the genius behind these bars, Jenny, from the Picky Palate. Her bars made all the tiny party-goers really really happy.

You know, I love things on sticks, but I’m thinking if I make these, they won’t make the trip to the stick before they make a trip to my mouth
LOVE THE STICK ADDITION!
I read somewhere that kids crave sweets because their brain tells them that when they eat something sweet, it has calories and they need calories to grow, so eat, EAT! (it’s kind of like how birds know not to eat brightly colored bugs because they are poisonous or bitter.) So go ahead, enjoy the gift you were given.
just beautiful killer photos… Wonderful recipe… where does the name “Diethood” Come from???
🙂 Everyone asks… diet, but not as in dieting…diet as in nutrition… the sum of the food consumed by all of us… does that make sense? I hope so!! It makes perfect sense to me. 🙂
Shoot, for once I thought I’d be one of the firsts to comment on FFWD! I’m going to be in the Chicago area next week – sent you an email, but maybe it ended up in Junk – I’ve had several ppl tell me that recently.
What a delightful treat for adults! I suppose we would need to share them with the kids, too. I had an unfortunate experience with Oreos as a kid that created an Oreo aversion which lasted for a while. Thankfully, I’m over that now! My cousin and I ate an entire bag of Oreos sitting on our porch swing. She would eat the filling and then give me the chocolate cookie. Wonder if I could do that again? Thanks for this great post!
What a neat sweet treat, perfect for a birthday girl.
You’re on a roll girlie, Congratulations!

These bars look like a reason anyone would start to gain a sweet tooth! I bet all the kids loved them… and the adults too.
This is just too much! I would definitely eat a “green tree” if it meant I got to eat one of these! Yum!
These look delicious. Your daughter is so lucky. I think it’s totally okay for kids to have treats. We always used the balance rule with our kids. If you eat a treat you must balance it off with something healthy next time you eat. Moderation works like a charm. Love that you let her be a kid.
This is a brilliant idea 🙂
And I can’t stop smiling at the thought of how much your daughter likes oreo cookies ! It’s just too cute! (Alright, I’ll admit — I love oreos too, who doesn’t! 🙂 )
I’ve never quite seen anything like this! But I definitely want to try it! And I don’t even have 2 year olds anymore! Great recipe! : )
