Lemongrass Grilled Chicken – Spicy and SO delicious lemongrass-marinated chicken grilled to a juicy and tender perfection!
Friday! Bam. You sneaky thing, I love you!
Friends! I love you, too! Thank you for always stopping by! Today I greet you with a super flavorful and juicy lemongrass grilled chicken that is going to become your weekend-grilling favorite.
Thanks to Private Selection for sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
On the weekends, I’m almost always tempted to go out for dinner, but when I know I can grill something super fast that involves perfectly marinated chicken layered with a Vietnamese-inspired Spicy Lemongrass Marinade, that’s it right there. End of story. We’re staying in and grubbing on all of it.
Guys, thanks to Private Selection, I can finally introduce you to my lil’ friend, Private Selection’s Spicy Lemongrass Marinade.
LEMONGRASS GRILLED CHICKEN
You know how at times we feel intimidated by foreign or new-to-us ingredients? And because of that intimidation, we never try to make anything like it at home? Well! Private Selection has taken care of that part for us because to make this Lemongrass Grilled Chicken, all you will need now is all inside that pretty little bottle! THIS buddy needs to find itself on your shelves at home as soon as you can get your hands around it.
You should really take it seriously any time I give you advice on non-stressful cooking because I am about the last person ever who is qualified to train others on such a thing. If I can make my life less stressful, then basically anyone in the world can jump on this convenience wagon and rock their dinner time with me.
The Private Selection Brand at Kroger focuses on products that are unique, but also approachable. Basically, the stuff that people like you and I adore because we are adventurist foodies with a passion for cooking. They’ve done most of the work for us by creating these amazing marinades, and all there is left for us to do is the part of cooking.
HOW TO MAKE LEMONGRASS CHICKEN
This spicy-lemongrass-marinated-chicken combination was so utterly simple and perfect. In addition to the lemongrass, the marinade is also packed with garlic, citrus, and chili peppers.
I poured half of the lemongrass marinade over some chicken thighs and put it away for a couple of hours, allowing all those flavors to come together.
When ready, all you have to do is transfer it all to the grill or a grill pan, brush some more marinade over it, and grill away. Several short minutes later, you’re going to feast on THIS:
Doesn’t that look perfect and amazing!?! I LOVE IT!
FYI: I picked up a few bottles of Private Selection’s Indian-inspired Tandoori Marinade, too, and I’m really looking forward to sharing a recipe that I made with it in the very near future. Stay tuned.
ENJOY!

This is Wonderful <3
Thank YOU! 🙂
I enjoy suggestions from others who’ve tried something new – like this marinade – so I’d make the dish you featured here to start! After tasting it with that, I’d probably try it with some shrimp or white fish – baked or grilled.
I would use a combo of chicken and shrimp. Marinade the protein in the sauce and then cook them on skewers along with some colorful veggies. Nummmmmy
Since I can’t have red meat anymore, it sounds good on chicken, pork and vegetables. I would put in rice and some potato dishes. This will spice up my boring recipes. Can’t wait to use. I’m so excited. Going to Ralphs today. Yea. Thank you for the new recipe. We will try for Father’s day.
Would be delicious on jumbo shrimp, marinated and skewered with red, yellow and green peppers and pineapple chunks, all brushed with the marinade while grilling.
I would use it on homemade cielito lindo, enchiladas, roasted chicken or even soup for my love for spice!!
Definitely a shrimp dish!
I would use this as a marinade for my oxtails.
This sounds like it would be amazing on lamb.
I have a giant bag of tail-on shrimp. I am wondering if I thawed and marinated it with this then put the shrimps on skewers and grilled them if that would be good (I think so, I would try it).
I would play around with the Asian versions to recreate a bon mi sandwich with a lot of fresh yummy toppings! Our diet is going great thanks for the recipes!
I would put chicken in the marinade, then grill.
I plan to make chicken with rice first. Then tuna using the Lemongrass marinade,. Im just learning to cook so this would be greatly Awesome
Definitely marinating some chicken and shrimp and grilling them! Sounds delicious!
Lets marinade some chicken and put it on the grill!!!!
I love grilling, especially chicken and pork that have been marinated.
I’m experimenting with new recipes and am especially interested in trying ethnic recipes from various cultures. I haven’t done too much with Indian food – yet – and getting these marinades would be a good way to start. I guess I’d make the recipe you shared first, since I’d be getting the marinade I need to make it.
Will cook with turkey or chicken and salad cannot wait to try this marinate looks delicious yummy yummy in my tummy

I plan to use these on chicken before I grill it on the BBQ.
These marinades sound absolutely amazing and I would love to try them on chicken, veggies and kabobs.
I have never heard of these marinades but they look delicious. And I love how easy they are to use. I would love to try some on some fish, and I think any of the marinades would taste great on some tilapea or some cod and then grilled or even baked. Each marinade would make a totally different meal, even if I used the same fish or meat! That’s awesome because we LOVE fish and changing it around with these marinades would be great. We also love pork loin and I think using the marinades on a pork loin would be fabulous! PLUS we always have leftover pork loin and then we can use it to some delicious and different sandwiches!! YEAH!! More flavor and less prepping and cooking! Sounds good to me!
I eat a lot of chicken and salmon. I plan on trying this recipe of yours for the spicy (love spicy) lemongrass chicken, but would also love to try both of these on some salmon!

I am planting my first-ever garden and am looking forward to enjoying lots of heirloom veggies and watermelon. That is if they survive my beginner gardening skills!! I would love to experiment with the sauces to make veggie and fish/seafood dishes. Of course, I will also use them in chicken recipes like the lemongrass grilled chicken and chicken and veggie wraps.

I would use the lemongrass marinade to make pulled chicken tacos – cook the chicken caramelize onions and fill soft taco shells with lettuce, cheese and a little sour cream or crème fraiche to round out the flavors. For the Tandoori marinade, I would use either steak tips or flank steak and make kabobs with onions, peppers and cherry tomatoes – or maybe marinated veggie skewers and just grilled steak. YUMMY
