Beware, Honey Roasted Almonds are highly addictive! But they also make great gifts during the holidays! We’ve been roasting peanuts and almonds since I can remember. My mom often bought raw nuts and roasted them with a touch of salt. Adding a bit of honey and a drizzle of olive oil can elevate these nuts even more. I highly recommend trying this at home. It’s simple and flavorful, and you get to customize the taste to your liking.

Ingredients For Honey Roasted Almonds

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • kosher salt, to taste (optional)

How To Make Roasted Almonds

  1. Prep: Preheat the oven to 350˚F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook: Combine the olive oil, honey and water in a skillet, heat it up to thin out the liquid, and mix in the almonds.
  3. Roast: Transfer the almonds to the sheet pan and spread them out in a single layer. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. Serve: Let the almonds cool for 5 minutes and serve.

Don’t forget the salt – it makes a huge difference. Unless you don’t want that salty-sweet thing. Then I understand. While you’re at it, put some aside for gifting. Trust me, food gifts are always welcome.

Storage

The almonds will last 5 to 7 days at room temperature.

Almonds are a staple in our household! These would make such a great family snack before football games!

  2. I buy dry roasted peanuts … so I can pretend they’re healthy for me. Not much you can do with honey roasted almonds except eat them and tough it out. I bought a bag of skin on almonds so I can blanch and skin them, dry and chop them up to make florentines with. 🙂

Kudos on making your own honey roasted almonds munchies.

Hi Karen!! They are slightly sticky, but they do not stick together as long as you let them dry on the tray and then keep them in an airtight container. Hope that helps. 🙂
