Fruit Salad Smoothie Recipe – A slim-down fruity smoothie with no added sugar, but with tons of fruits, salad greens, chia seeds, and almond milk. Simple, refreshing, and most of all, it’s delicious!
Because I cannot let anything in this world just BE. I made a fruit-pizza, got tired of chewing, threw it all in the Blendtec, and ta-dahmmmm!
Hi, you guys! I haven’t chatted with you in a while!! Okay, 3 days, but still. That’s a LONG time for me.
I have a good reason, though. My other half is in Madrid this week, so I’m single parenting all the way and I’m kinda like, hating it. Okay, hate is a strong word, but seriously? Holy Mother, these kids are hard! I’mma need more than a glass of Chardonnay to get through the week.
Sidenote:
And, to all the single parents out there
raise your hands in the air
’cause YOU mama (papa) bear
know how to care
for two (three, four, five…) kids
with just one stare,
you’re ready to repair!
Just sayin’? BUT obviously, Kanye West ain’t got nothin’ on me.
So I have this awesome, good-for-you Fruit Salad Smoothie recipe that I wanna share because, a) it’s just so, so delicious, but 2) it will wake you up, it will light your fire, and it will have you feeling healthy and bloat-less, all day.
The other thing is that all along I planned on making that Fruit Pizza, again, but I went to my lazy-place and ended up with this fruit salad beauty, instead. AND, because I didn’t have kale or spinach, I tore up the last of the romaine lettuce and all was well with the world. Besides, I’m also taking care of business, one veggie drawer at a time. Things can get all stinky up in there, know whadda mean?
And guess what? I can’t stop drinking my clean-out-the-fridge smoothie. You’re probably expecting me to be like OMG! I’m so into this! AND I totally AM! My honest, lazy moment turned into a perfect liquidy fruit salad and I couldn’t be happier because, chewing takes a lot of energy, especially in the morning.
It took a couple of test runs to get the consistency that I was looking for because, I do not like thick, you-need-a-spoon-to-EAT type of smoothies. Rather, I like a smoothie that is drinkable, and layering it gave me the results that I was after. Greens, berries, chia seeds and bananas at the bottom, and oranges and oats at the top. Fresh shaved coconut and a swirl of honey for the finish? Sinful.
Clean out them veggie drawers and get on this recipe, ASAP!
ENJOY!
