Looking for an easy crock pot chicken wings recipe? This is it! The classic sweet-tangy duo of honey & mustard combined with chicken wings, then prepared in the crock pot. Delicious doesn’t even begin to describe how good these wings taste!
Hi Hi! Welcome to Savory Sundays! Did you know that I had a series on this bloggy called Savory Sundays? Ya didn’t!?! Hm. Well, now you do!
Savory Sundays has been kickin’ it for almost 3 years, and it’s one of my best days in as far as my readers’ engagement is involved. Ya’ll lurrrve some good ol’, easy to make dinners!
But, I’m with you on that one. Ain’t nothin’ better than a recipe that’s going to take care of at least one day this week.
And on that note, I think you should make today’s Crock Pot Honey Mustard Chicken Wings right this minute, and eat ’em while you watch the CUBS!!! Woooot!
Don’t worry… I love you even if you’re a Cardinals fan. It’s all good. But the Cubs are better!!! (that’s a lie, I know)
Okay. Let me refocus. Breathe… Breathe…
My excitement for Cubs/Bears can’t ever be tamed. And they both (most of the time) SUCK! haha 😀
Have I ever told you about how I used to live right down the street from Wrigley Field, and how it was the best time of my life? Yah, it was the best time of my LIFE! ⚾
During Baseball season everything was about the Cubs, and if you were me OR with ME since you couldn’t really be ME (what?), it was all about the Cubs and game-day food. Of course.
Honey Mustard Chicken Wings totally remind me of those days. There’s a bunch of awesome bars/pubs right around Wrigley Field, and chicken wings-all the things are always on the menu. I regularly ordered the honey mustard wings.
Now that I live in the ‘burbs and have little ones (and a big 37 year old) to take care OF and can’t really just take off to go to a Cubs game whenever I feel like it because there’s a house that needs to be cleaned, laundry piled up to the sky, dishes in the sink – oh my Gawwwwd, I feel overwhelmed just typing it all out!!! – I now have my trustworthy crock pot to take care of the wings while I do all the “wonderful” housework.(gag) Best part is that once the wings are done, they will stay warm in the crock pot until we’re ready to attack ’em.
What was I saying?
Oh! I went to a wedding last night and I think I drank too much. I’ll tell you about it another time.
I think what it all comes down to though is these wings. They remind me of Fall. And the Cubs! Have I told you about how I lived near Wrigley – right, right, I did. That wedding booze really got to me.
Okay. I’ll just go and take a nap now.
Bye Bye!
ENJOY!
