You know what they say – when it rains, it pours. Yes, I am referring to the Giveaway. That’s the third one this week. Eeeek! I told you my mission is to make you rich! ;-D
Okay, yeah, this Giveaway may make your kids’ toy box $200 bucks richer, but it can also help you out in a few months when you’re Christmas shopping! I know it’s too early to talk about that, but hey, it will sneak up on ya real soon. Buhlieve me!
Now shall we talk about cold and sparkly things?
Good.
Citrus Mint Spritzer… be still my heart. I love you, you delicious, refreshing thing you!
See, this is how I know it’s officially summer. My mind is all about hittin’ those drinks and eating that Lemon Blueberry Ice Cream. I don’t want to turn on the oven at all. I mean, ever. I’ve been grilling, but not baking. Is that bad? Don’t worry, once the gloomy weather starts we will be right back at these Ginger Snap Cookies with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting, or that delicious Chocolate Cinnamon Bread Pudding. MMMMM!
But, for now, we can sit back, chillax and discuss Summer!
This Spritzer speaks Summer. Me, oh my … how did I ever live without it?! I first made it for Memorial Day, and it was on a whim. I had a bunch of mint, too many oranges, and a few lemons that were almost ready to be pitched. I combined all these beauties together, poured in some simple syrup and Sprite, and voila ~ this deliciousness was created! Yay ME!
Sooo now that it’s finally summer, drinks like this need to appear more often. The 4th of July is coming and this should make it to your Drinks Menu fo show! I honestly cannot get enough of this drink. I even poured in some white wine last week. It was good! BUT, I have to tweak it out a bit before I share it with you. I wasn’t completely satisfied with it. Besides, isn’t a real Spritzer made with white wine? Or was that just an ’80’s fad? Cause I remember my parents downing that stuff like it was nobody’s biznazz!
Enough of my ramblings! Go make this and ENJOY!

Omg, what was up with our parents and their wine spritzers in the 80’s? I can’t even say the word ‘spritzer’ in my head without thinking of sweaters tied around the neck and/or upturned collars. 😛
Your spritzer looks delish!!
I think it might have only been the Europeans that were downing that drink, but I could be wrong! 😀
A sparkling lemon and mint goodness in the heat is a must here. Thank you for sharing your lovely recipe, we are planning to make it here.
I hope you have a chance to get it a try, Helene. It really is one of the most refreshing drinks I have ever made. Have a great weekend!! xoxo
It was 104 F today and I sure could have put down a pitcher of this wonderful spritzer! Gorgeous pictures!
Refreshing and beautiful drink. Is it sad that I also am admiring your glass, picture and straw? As a food blogger… all it makes the drink look extra delicious. 🙂
Thank you so, so much, Ramona! Maybe I should do a “how to” post on photography?! 😉
Love citrus cocktails, Kate! Lovely photography and styling here, too. Thanks for sharing! xo
Oh that sounds so perfect and refreshing!
