Chocolate Cake and Coconut Milkshake

Chocolate Cake and Coconut Milk Shake – you can have your cake, and drink it, too!

Chocolate Cake and Coconut Milkshake www.diethood.com

My milkshake brings all the kids to my yard, And they’re like, Ana’s got the best MOM… damn RIGHT, I’m the BEST MOM! 😄

Can’t believe I’m about to share with you the magic that happens when chocolate cake meets coconut meets blender. This is sooooooo good, you guys!

Does that sound obnoxious?! I mean, I don’t wanna sound obnoxious, but I also don’t wanna lie to you… this milkshake is pretty amazing. But before we get into all this wonderful milkshake stuff, I want to mention that this recipe is about to bring down the house over at Roxana’s Chocolate Party!

My dear friend and awesome-EST baker, Roxana from Roxana’s Home Baking, throws a Chocolate Party once a month, and a bunch of fabulous bloggers join in and bake up something chocolaty. Delicious, right?! To add, Roxana pairs chocolate with a different ingredient every month and challenges other bloggers to work the pair in a brand new recipe.

I’ve been wanting to join the party for.ever. and now I can finally say that I have! I mean, how could I say no to a) Roxana and b) to coconut?? We all know my love for that white, waxy, and stringy deliciousness. Coconut Baklava, Coconut Buttercream Frosting … you know how we do.

When it comes to planning a recipe for a virtual party of sorts, and when that party is about chocolate, all I can come up with is cake. We all know I like to create cakes, but I can’t make ’em look pretty. If you notice, all my cakes on zee bloggy are a picture of a slice of cake – never the whole cake. That’s because I am horrible at decorating cakes. Horrible! I’m as good as a 4 year old with a paint brush.

So, the story is that I made a chocolate cake – it was ugly, but extremely delish!! We inhaled it, of course, but left one slice in the fridge because I needed to make a Chocolate Cake and Coconut Milkshake. One minute I was chomping on a slice of chocolate cake, and next thing you know I’m sippin’ said cake through a straw. The End.

No need to apologize for this beauty!
Love that I can have my face filled with cake and coconut in just 7 minutes!

  8. No chocolate ice cream or cake but I wouldn’t mind experimenting with some cocoa powder, vanilla ice cream, coconut cream and toasted coconut which I DO have.

Coconut baklava. Seriously? I made a batch of walnut baklava on the weekend but with only a couple pieces left, is it too early to start thinking of a different version? I think not. 🙂
