Prepared with just apple cider and a good dose of Prosecco, these Apple Cider Mimosas will be the stars of Thanksgiving brunch! Stop worrying about what drinks you’ll be serving this Holiday Season because combining apple cider with champagne makes the most wonderful sipper you’ve ever had. A fantastic Fall twist on this classic drink makes it an excellent choice for Holiday parties or just for a regular Sunday brunch.

What Is A Mimosa?

Mimosas are light and refreshing, so they are the most preferred choice for a brunch cocktail. The classic Mimosa is always prepared with equal parts champagne and orange juice. However, the ratio can always be adjusted to your taste and preferences.

Apple Cider Mimosa Ingredients

  • Apple Cider: This is a drink made from pressed and fermented apples. The distinctive taste of Apple Cider transforms this into an ideal Fall-themed drink.
  • Prosecco: Use a champagne (or Prosecco) you genuinely enjoy. While there’s no need to break the bank, remember it’s a key component of this two-ingredient cocktail.

How To Make Apple Cider Mimosas

  • Rim the glasses with sugar and cinnamon. Combine ground cinnamon plus granulated sugar in a shallow plate. Then, pour about a 1/4 cup of apple cider into a separate bowl or container. Dip the rim of each champagne flute in the apple cider, then dip it in the cinnamon-sugar to coat. Set aside for a minute to dry.
  • Make the cocktail. Pour apple cider into each glass and top it with champagne.
  • Serve. Garnish with a slice of apple and serve.

Recipe Variations

  • To make a pitcher, I suggest using 4 to 6 cups of apple cider and 1 (750 ml) bottle of champagne.
  • Add a caramel twist and drizzle in some caramel before adding the drinks.
  • For a nonalcoholic option, use sparkling grape juice – it works like a charm for an all-ages-friendly version.

What Champagne is Best For Mimosas?

You want to use a dry sparkling wine. Prosecco is the most popular option, as well as Cava, or use a good bottle of your favorite Champagne.
