These homemade samosas are golden, crispy, and filled with a spiced potato filling that's totally irresistible. An easy, flavorful recipe!
You'll only need potatoes, ghee, and a few other simple ingredients to make this easy recipe.
Mix flour, salt, garlic powder, caraway seeds, and ghee, and rub for 5-7 minutes.
Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time to create a smooth dough. Then roll it into a ball and let it rest.
Divide the dough into 12-14 equal portions and roll each one into a ball.
Combine the garam masala, ground cumin, ground turmeric, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and chili powder.
Bring potatoes to a boil and cook for 12-15 minutes, then strain and set aside.
Melt ghee in a large pan. Then add the spice mix, stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add the diced onion to the pan and stir it into the spice mix. Let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
Place the boiled potatoes in the pan and use a potato masher to purée them.
Mix in the chopped coriander and season with salt to taste. Then remove from heat and set aside.
Roll out each dough ball into an oval and slice it in two. Then create a crevice and add the filling.
Seal the edges of the samosa with water and pinch them closed.
Fry them in hot oil over medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes. Then raise the heat and cook for 3-5 more minutes.
