Seasoned and mashed avocado served on a whole grain toast and topped with Green Giant™ Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips – Barbecue.
Oh me, oh my! Guess what I found?! Yours and mine, this season’s football snack! Also known as, Green Giant™ Veggie Snack Chips!
These chips quickly made it to my favorite things, a.k.a. “Thingamajig Tuesdays”, because they really are delicious. They meet all of the perfect chip-criteria:
Crunchy, of course. Flavorful, thank goodness! And made with real vegetables. SCORE!
I have to tell you; my 1-year old could not get enough of the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips – Garden Ranch. She seriously bawled when I took them from her…
Don’t look at me like that… Mommy needs to eat, too…
Okay, so, actually I had to take them from her so that we, the adults, could enjoy the chips with a bowl of my Apple Avocado Salsa. What an amazing treat that was! My husband and I just ate and ate and ate… and I’m not even a chip-eater! But, when it’s dip and chip, well, now, we all make exceptions. Besides, these Veggie Snack Chips really were incredible. SO flavorful! If you like dipping your chips in ranch dip, these chips might become your next favorite.
With my next bag of chips, the Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips – Barbecue, I decided to make these Smashed Avocado Toasts and top them with said chips.
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but my idea was pretty genius. In fact, my Dad came around when I was making them and he had a total of 3 toasts. He wanted more. I said I only have one bag. ONE BAG! And I need to take photos. And I want to eat!
While the Green Giant Veggie Chips are not a replacement for real vegetables, they definitely are a great alternative for when you want to snack on chips made with real vegetables. To add, these are not the only flavors. They also have Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips – Zesty Cheddar and Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips Sea Salt.

Now about this Smashed Avocado Toast… I’m telling you, it’s so, soooo good! And it will take you all of 3.2 minutes to make it. Maybe 4.
- 4 slices whole grain toast
- 1 ripe avocado, halved, seeded, peeled and diced
- 1 lime, juiced
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- coarse salt, to taste
- fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 2 cups Green Giant™ Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips - Barbecue
- Toast bread slices.
- Place avocado in a bowl.
- Drizzle fresh lime juice over avocado.
- Add olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Using a fork, mash the avocado until only few chunks remain.
- Evenly divide avocado mixture and spread over toasted bread.
- Evenly divide chips and spread on top of each avocado toast.
