About Diethood

Hello! My name is Katerina and I’m the recipe developer and photographer behind Diethood. I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a mom to two amazing little girls, Ana and Aleksandra, and wife to a handsome, loving husband named Goce (Go-tse). I just love cooking, eating, and sharing good food with my family, and because of that love, I started this food blog journey.

For me, eating is not just about sitting down to a meal. It’s a cherished moment to share and enjoy with those you love! I was taught how to cook wholesome, nourishing food by my Macedonian grandmother and mom, drawing from the rich, Mediterranean-influenced cuisine of our heritage. I learned to craft meals from scratch using very few simple and fresh ingredients—whether they came from the nearby garden, lake, or farm. I continue this tradition with my own family, believing that food should be flavorful, always satisfying, and most of all, easy to prepare.

What Kinds of Recipes Will You Find?

Sometimes people ask if Diethood is a “diet” food blog. I want to clarify that the answer is no. This site isn’t focused on dieting or adhering to any specific dietary regimes. Instead, the term “diet” in Diethood refers to the daily foods consumed by myself and my family—our regular eating habits and choices. It’s all about sharing the everyday meals that we love, which are both wholesome and enjoyable.

So, what kinds of recipes will you find here?

  • Easy. As a busy working mom, I appreciate a quick and easy meal just as much as anyone! All of my recipes can be prepared by a novice cook or baker, using fresh ingredients to create flavor-packed meals that taste like they came straight from a restaurant!
  • Fresh & flavorful. A lot of the magic in cooking has to do with the ingredients you use. I love using fresh ingredients to make flavor-packed meals that taste like they came from a restaurant!
